Announcements:
Annual Independence Day Celebration: Saturday, July 4th, Ulster County Fairgrounds, Libertyville Road. Gates open at 5pm. Circus Arts @ 5:00, Puppet Show @ 6:00, live music from Professor Louie & the Crowmatix and Gandalf Murphy @ 6:45. Fireworks will begin after 9:30. PETS ARE NOT ALLOWED.
Community Center Opening: Join us for the official opening of the New Paltz Community Center Sunday, July 5th, ribbon cutting at 11:30am, featuring a performance by Minor Constellations (pop ukelele!). The New Paltz Fire Department and the New Paltz Rescue Squad will both be on hand with information for prospective volunteers. Light refreshments will be served.
Committee vacancies: The Town Boad invites interested members of the community to apply for vacant seats on the Environmental Conservation Board (EnCB; the remainder of a term which will expire 12/2009), the Clean Water and Open Space Conservation Commission (CWOSP; 2 seats which will expire 12/2012), and the Industrial and Commercial Incentive Board (ICIB; 2 seats which will expire 12/2011). NPPD emergency event and information telephone line: The New Paltz Police Department has activated a new "emergency event and information" telephone line which can be called 24 hours a day. Effective immediately, interested parties can dial 845.255.7123 around the clock and listen to a recorded announcement. As always, if you have an emergency in New Paltz, call 845.255.1323 or 9-1-1.
