There simply aren’t words to convey my deep sadness for the amount of loss the New Paltz community is experiencing, yet again, and has experienced over the past several years through deaths by suicide and overdose…

New Paltz is an incredibly resilient and caring community, whose heart continues to be broken open…

As Community Education Coordinator, I am working with numerous professionals and service providers who specialize in grief, suicide, and trauma. Together we are pulling together as many resources as possible to offer support in the present moment, as well as strengthen supports in the long-term.

Grief and healing takes time… Depending on the person and the amount of sorrow experienced, it can take a very long time…

We are in this together, and together, we will rise and heal…
