The Office of Community Wellness announces...

Applied Suicide Intervention Skills Training (ASIST) is for everyone 16 or older - regardless of prior experience - who wants to be able to provide suicide first aid. Shown by major studies to significantly reduce suicidality, the ASIST model teaches effective intervention skills while helping to build suicide prevention networks in the community.


Date: October 4th & 5th, 2018
Time: 8:30 a.m. - 4:30 p.m.
 Place: Room #418
                        SUNY New Paltz Student Union Building
12 CEU's available for Social Workers and CASAC.
Trainers: Ellen Pendegar, CEO, Mental Health Association in Ulster County, Inc.
and Tamara Cooper, Team Leader of Training and Staff Development, Family of Woodstock, Inc.
