No-Shave November 2017

For Immediate Release

Date of Release: Thursday, October 19, 2017

The New Paltz Police Department announces that they are participating again in the American Cancer Society Fund Raiser, “No-Shave November”.  The goal of No-Shave November is to grow awareness by embracing our hair, which many cancer patients lose, and letting it grow wild and free.  Donate money you usually spend on shaving and grooming for a month to educate about cancer prevention, save lives and aid those fighting the battle.  All donations will benefit the American Cancer Society.

“This terrible disease has an impact on every one of us, whether it is our family, friends or even our own personal fight.  We must continue to work together and fight this disease, find a cure and continue to save lives.”  Chief Joe Snyder said.  “We are excited to participate again for the fourth year in a row.  Last year we raised more than $3,700 and this year we hope to surpass that amount for this great cause.”

To make a donation though the New Paltz Police team, go to: www.no-shave.org or go to the link:  https://no-shave.org/team/NPPD   You can donate to the general team or pick one of the team members to make your donation.
