Ulster County Long Range Transportation Planning Process Launched: Info on Process and Meetings

ULSTER COUNTY LONG RANGE TRANSPORTATION PLANNING PROCESS LAUNCHED
Public asked to weigh-in on document that will guide transportation investment decisions

Kingston, NY – August 05, 2020    The Ulster County Transportation Council (UCTC) invites the public to join us at one of the four virtual public meetings (as highlighted in flyers below) to discuss the draft Year 2045 Long Range Transportation Plan (LRTP) for the Ulster County Metropolitan Planning Area.

UCTC’s Long Range Transportation Plan (LRTP) is a critical guide to transportation decision-making for the region.  The Plan is updated every 5 years and forecasts transportation needs at least 20 years into the future.  The Draft 2045 LRTP embraces a multi-modal transportation future with a focus on the transportation system‘s role in environmental sustainability, accessibility, economic development, and quality of life.  The 2045 LRTP prioritizes transportation needs based on projections of available funding.

Written comments may be submitted via email to Brian Slack at uctc@co.ulster.ny.us and will be accepted until August 31, 2020. A final plan must be approved by the UCTC Technical and Policy Committees no later than September 30, 2020.

Registration information and the draft plan are available on the project website:
