NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING REGARDING THE VIKING INDUSTRIES PROJECT

PLEASE TAKE NOTICE that on Monday, the 14th day of February 2022, at 7:30pm, or as soon thereafter as the matter can be heard, there will be a Public Hearing conducted by Town of New Paltz Planning Board, whose business address is New Paltz Town Hall, 52 Clearwater Road, New Paltz, New York 12561, to provide an opportunity for public comment on the Viking Industries project.  The Applicant (Viking Industries) proposes a 44,460 s.f. expansion of its manufacturing warehouse operations, involving property located at 89 S. Ohioville Road, New Paltz, New York 12561 within the Town of New Paltz, as shown on the Tax Map thereof as Section 86.016, Block 1, Lot 5.  Said property consists of approximately 34.9 +/-acres and is located within the within the Industrial (I-1) Zoning District.

This public hearing will be held via Zoom/YouTube only. All interested parties may view the meeting by visiting the new New Paltz Public Access Channel.

In accordance with Chapter 1 of the Laws of 2022 (A.8591/S.7623A) signed into law by New York State Governor Kathy Hochul on January 14, 2022 extending virtual access to public meetings under the New York State Open Meetings Law (Article 7 of the Public Officers Law) to the extent necessary to permit public bodies to meet and take actions without permitting in public in-person access to meetings and authorizing such meetings to be held remotely by conference call or similar service, physical attendance by the public at the meeting will not be permitted. The public may view or listen to the meeting via Zoom as set forth above and a recording of the meeting will subsequently be made available on the Town’s website.
