Fall Events

Green Medicine Workshop, Sept 23, 11:15-12:30pm, free to the public.You can start your personal practice of green medicine with interventions that are simple,reliable,affordable and sustainable.Please contact Mary Jo Johnson, L.Ac.,LMT 347-880-0310 openpathwaystohealth.com

 New Fall Programs at the Community Center

Senior Art will be offered free to New Paltz Resident Seniors beginning Sept 21, there is a $5 charge for non residents.Please contact instructor Nicole Jurain for further information, 401-4429.

Youth Yoga will begin Sept 27, 4-5pm, this free to New Paltz Youth Class will entail third, fourth and fifth graders, parents will need to change their child's bus drop off site to the Village Arms where they will be escorted up to the Community Center. Please contact the instructor Ellen Bucciferro for further information, 532-7256.

Continued and Returning Programs  

 Friday Nights of Fun is returning to the Community Center. Activities and social interaction are offered to special needs youth  and supervised by SUNY Students.Sessions are offered on Sept 22, Oct 13, 27, Nov 10, Dec 8, 6:30-8pm.Please contact Maureen Turner for further information, 516-946-5732.

 Step Dance with instructor Susan Slotnik continues on Wednesdays,11:15-12:15pm.This free to New Paltz Seniors program focusses on light movement and specific exercises to foster mental health. There is a $5 fee per session for non residents,registration is ongoing.Contact Recreation for further information.

Senior Gardening with professional gardener Peter Buhl will continue every other Thursday,11am-12pm, a raised bed garden has been planted outside the Community Center and expansion of the garden is planned for 2018. There is no charge to Community Seniors.

   Adult/Youth Zumba is offered onTuesday evenings 6-7pm,first, third, fourth and fifth week of month. This program will resume Sept 27. Youth are welcome with an accompanying adult. Please contact the instructor, Lisa Ondreyko for further information, 728-8579.
