The second annual Senior Summer Barbeque at the Field of Dreams Park will take place at the Field of Dreams Park Pavilion  on June 20 at noon.The event is free to New Paltz Community Seniors, last day of accepting reservations is June 15, please call 255-2512 or E-Mail at recreation@townofnewpaltz.org to register. Field of Dreams Park is located on Libertyville Rd, New Paltz, across from the Ulater County Fairgrounds. Please use the above contact information for updates and cancellations.

Senior Summer Concert series at Vanderbilt Mansion ensues June 20, bus leaves the High School Parking Lot at 5:30pm, concert begins at 7pm featuring contemporary music with Jim Osborn. Please call 255-2512 to register, last day to reserve a spot is June 15. On July 11 the Saints of Swing will perform at Vanderbilt, 7pm concert , 5:30pm High School departue and August 15 the West Point Army Band will perform a Patriotic/Popular Music Concert beginning at 6:30pm, 5pm departure from the High School.The July concert registration deadline is July 6, deadline for the August concert is August 10, please contact Recreation for registrations,cancellations, updates, 255-2512 or recreation@townofnewpaltz.org                           

Movies at the Park

Movies at the Field of Dreams Park Pavilion will kick off with the showing of "Field of Dreams" June 16, show time is 9pm. There will be a youth pickup baseball game played between 7:30-8:30pm, all youth 12 years of age and under are invited to participate. Please bring your own glove,helmet and bat. 

The July 21 movie is "Dirty Dancing" it is also date night, show time is 9pm. Prior to the movie is a Motown Concert at 7pm with "Soul City Groove" There are barbeque pits next to the pavilion, come out early and grill or picnic while watching the sun set!

Our August 21 movie presentation is "Cars" kids are encouraged to come as cardboard decorated cars, there will also be a display of antique cars prior to the movie. Show time is 9pm. New Programming at the Community Center 

Pre Natal Yoga will begin June 21, 6:45-8pm, please contact the instructor, Jennifer for further information, 256-9083. 

Respite Care Group: A two hour program each Friday, 12:30-2:30pm. Seniors receiving care from a family member, partner, spouse, neighbor, can come to meet others, share experiences and group activities. Bring your own lunch, tea and coffee are provided. The group is facilitated by a licensed social worker and is free of charge, call Jewish Family Services for further information, 338-2980.

Tai Chii with music is offered the first two Saturdays of the month, 11:15am-12:15pm and is free of charge.Contact Jing Shuai, 214-8579 for additional information. 

Youth Folk Dance Tuesdays, contact Nina Jurka, 917-359-2337. Will resume in Sept.

Community Grief Support, facilitated by Phoenix Kawamoto Community Education Coordinator, weekly on Tuesdays, 5-7pm. Please contact Phoenix at 256-5014. 

Playspace will continue througout the Summer at the Community Center, Tuesday and Thursday, 9am-11am. Playspace is offered to parents and their todlers free of charge, toys and mats are provided. Please contact Recreation for further information.
