  2. Climate Action Plan Public Engagement initiative with LULA (The Land Use Law Center) - review of final report.  Discussion of next steps for our Climate Action Plan
  3. Birds and the Bees Protection Act:  Follow up from January Meetup.  Request to sign petition as organization. 
  4. Clean Heating and Cooling Campaign and the Group Purchase Program Next steps: Completion of Scoping Plan and presentations to boards.
  5. Battery Energy Storage Task Force update (Joe)
  6. Climate Smart Schools Task Force update (Janelle)
  7. Action Group Updates:
  • 6 Rs – Refuse, Reduce, Reuse, Repurpose, Repair, Recycle (Refill?)  Our next Repair Café in New Paltz is January 21st.
  • Green Business – Tiffin Project/Second Nature Refillery
  • Green Spaces – lets get planning a new project!
  • Green Transportation: Complete streets off the back burner?
  • Publicity & Social Media:   The February newsletter will be going out the last week of January.   Please send your submissions by January 27th.

  • Lifestyle:  Next Climate Smart Solutions Meetup is scheduled for February 7th at 6:00 and our topic is Get Charged Up About Batteries!
The next Climate Smart Book Club meeting is January 17th at 7:00. The book selection is Dark Money by Jane Mayer.  Our February read will be Electrify: An Optimist’s Playbook for Our Clean Energy Future by Saul Griffith
