    - CSC TF comments to Town Board at the Public Hearing Feb 16 on the County Emergency Operations Center (EOC)
    - CSC TF comments/requests to Manna Jo Green and Jen Metzger regarding County EOC
    - CSC TF input to Village re: proposed projects on Rte 32N (2 mixed use buildings), Mannheim (1 apartment building), and Rte 32S (student housing)
  5. Earth Day Fair and presentations at the Earth Day Fair (Jim)
  6. Climate Action Plan Cohort – first meeting is 2/16 from noon to 1:00 pm
  7. Clean Heating and Cooling Campaign and the Group Purchase Program not happening?
  8. Battery Energy Storage Task Force update (Joe)
  9. Proposing Micro Grids for New Paltz.....UC EOC, SUNY NP, Tops, Shoprite (Joe)

  • 6 Rs – Refuse, Reduce, Reuse, Repurpose, Repair, Recycle (Refill?)  Our next Repair Café in New Paltz is March 18th.
  • Green Business – Tiffin Project/Second Nature Refillery, Greenway Environmental Services contacted by Ulster County Fair
  • Green Spaces – lets get planning a new project! 
  • Green Transportation: Complete streets off the back burner?
  • Publicity & Social Media:  A big welcome to Izzy Defino who is now helping us with social media!  The March newsletter will be going out the last week of February.   Please send your submissions by February 24.
  • Youth: liaison needed!
  • Alternative Energy:  Battery Energy Storage update
  • Lifestyle:  Next Climate Smart Solutions Meetup is scheduled for March 7th but we do not have a topic or presenter!
The next Climate Smart Book Club meeting is February 21st at 7:00.  We will be discussing Electrify: An Optimist’s Playbook for Our Clean Energy Future by Saul Griffith
