5th Annual Recovery Fest in New Paltz
The Town of New Paltz’s Office for Community Wellness (OCW) is excited to announce that the 5th Annual Recovery Fest will be taking place on Sunday, September 18th, from noon until 4PM at the Field of Dreams, located at 241 Libertyville Road in New Paltz.
Recovery Fest is a fun, family-oriented event to celebrate and honor recovery from substance use disorders, offer hope and help, reduce shame and stigma, and come together in community. This year’s Recovery Fest is being co-sponsored by Hope Rocks, New Paltz Youth Program, Office for Community Wellness, Step One, and the Ulster Prevention Council.
The festivities include: a barbeque and refreshments, speakers in recovery, Jordan’s Closet, information tables, Nalaxone training, holistic wellness practitioners, outdoor games and bounce house, face painting, drum circle, and live music by Savory Truffle. Everything is free! All are welcome regardless of one’s recovery status which is not asked.
