The Town of New Paltz’s Office for Community Wellness is excited to announce that the 6th Annual Recovery Fest is taking place on Sunday, September 17th from noon to 4:00pm at the Field of Dreams on Libertyville Road.  A free event, co-sponsored by Ulster Prevention Council and Hope Rocks – a day of fun, support, and honoring the journey, featuring DJ Jay Smooth, info tables, BBQ, speakers in recovery, wellness practitioners, Narcan training, Jordan’s Closet, bouncy house, face painting, drum circle, kickball, outdoor games, and a healing arts tent with Reiki, Ayurvedic Medicine, spiritual counseling, astrological tarot readings, art therapy, and auricular acupuncture.

  5. Authorization for the Town Board of the Town of New Paltz to authorize Kyle W. Barnett, Esq., of the Law Firm of Van DeWater & Van DeWater to negotiate a settlement whereby the 2021 and 2022 assessments will be settled in accordance with stipulations
  6. Authorization to approve the Town Board of New Paltz to expend $3,915.00 of funds from the Community Preservation Reserve Fund to pay for the acquisition of parcel 86.14-2-1 in the Town of New Paltz,
  7. Approval of Supplemental Agreement 3, prepared by Alta Planning + Design, covering the additional fees incurred during detailed design, the addition of the Construction and Construction Inspection phases, and the associated costs incurred for these efforts for the Henry W. DuBois Pedestrian Bicycle Improvement Project after April 5th, 2023.
  8. Authorization for the Town of New Paltz to implement, and fund the first instance 100% of the federal-aid {and state “Marchiselli” Program-Aid} eligible costs, of a transportation federal aid project, and appropriating funds
  9. Authorization for the Town of New Paltz in New York state to take part in addressing the housing crisis by adopting the Pro-Housing Communities pledge, which will have us endeavor to take the following important steps
    1. Streamlining permitting for multifamily housing, affordable housing, accessible housing, accessory dwelling units, and supportive housing.
    2. Adopting policies that affirmatively further fair housing.
    3. Incorporating regional housing needs into planning decisions.
    4. Increasing development capacity for residential uses.
    5. Enacting policies that encourage a broad range of housing development, including multifamily housing, affordable housing, accessible housing, accessory dwelling units, and supportive housing.
  10. Continued discussion of Proposal for Grants Research Portal and Project Support Services contract with Millenium Strategies.
  11. Request authorization to modify the adopted 2023 budget for cost overruns as follows:9.7.23 Budget Modifications
