Announcements We posted this on the Town’s website a week ago and everyone should have been sent a letter but people may have missed it, so this is to remind people. The Town of New Paltz is participating in the relaunch of the Hudson Valley Community Power (HVCP) program, which provides our eligible residents and small businesses with access to renewable electricity supply at competitive rates.

Based on the recommendations of the program managers we have chosen the 50% Renewable Option as the default. So eligible residents and small businesses will automatically be enrolled in the 50% New York State Renewable Option, meaning that 50% of your electricity supply is matched by Renewable Energy Certificates (RECs) provided by New York State renewable power plants (hydropower, wind, solar).

If you want you can opt up and get 100% New York State Renewable Option, 100% of your electricity supply is matched by Renewable Energy Certificates (RECs) provided by New York State renewable power plants (hydropower, wind, solar).

Or down and get Standard option, mixture of fossil fuels, nuclear, and some renewable energy.

6. Authorization to approve the below people as 2023 Moriello Pool Staff at their assigned rates for the pool season from May 21^st, 2023 through September 10^th, 2023.  Lifeguards who do not complete their WSI (Water Safety Instructor) Class will be paid at a rate of $17.00 instead of $17.50

1. Authorization to hire Tyler Creegan at the union rate of MEO to the Highway Department with a start date of May 22^nd, 2023
2. Authorization to pay Lou Ostrowski by voucher from the B Fund and bill the Village of New Paltz for half the cost for the season of watering flowers at the rate of $15.00 per hour with a 3 hour day
3. Vote to support Ulster County’s proposal to provide water to the Government Operation Center (GOC) at Paradies Lane, work with Town Attorney and County to finalize process.
4. Authorization to approve and sign the 2023/2024 Fire Protection Contract
5. Authorization to release and close escrow, TB#21-02, New Paltz Storage LLC Water District Extension in the amount of $2,500.  Project has been withdrawn.
6. Authorization to release and close Bond held, CB21-01, New Paltz Storage LLC Wetlands Permit in the amount of $20,015.64.  Project completed.
7. Review and discussion of two waste collection companies for single hauler bid – County Waste Recycling Service, Inc. and Royal Carting Service Company
8. Authorization for the Town of New Paltz Highway Department to advertise for a Mechanic at the union rate
9. Resolution contributing to the Capital Reserve Fund to finance a type of capital improvement or equipment – SSA Fund Sewer (002)
10. Resolution contributing to the capital reserve fund to finance a type of capital improvement or equipment – SWA Fund Water (002)
11. Authorization to go out to bid for an annual cleaning service
12. Authorization to renew Docuware from June 1^st 2023 to May 31^st 2024 in the amount of $3,213.00 plus applicable taxes

2. Authorization to hire a temp through Ethan Allen Staffing for the Building Department as a Secretary/Account Clerk.
3. Accept the resignation of Daniel Wasilewicz as MEO with the Town of New Paltz Highway Department effective April 7^th, 2023
4. Approve May Warrant for $534,356.38
